Garlic Butter Salmon


  • 100g Unsmoked Salmon
  • 1tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1tbsp Mirin
  • 2tsp Sugar
  • 10g Butter
  • 2 cloves of Garlic
  • 10g Butter
  • 2 cloves of Garlic


  1. Cut a sheet of baking paper to fit the frying pan.
  2. Slice the garlic.


  1. Rub a small amount of butter over the baking paper.
  2. Place salmon (skin side down) on baking paper and heat on medium heat, cover pan with lid.
  3. Flip the salmon once the skin becomes slightly crispy, reduce to low heat, and place lid over the pan.
  4. Once cooked leave the salmon on a plate.
  5. Fry garlic in small amount of oil.
  6. Once garlic slightly browned add butter and melt.
  7. Add soy sauce, sugar, and mirin and bring to boil gently.
  8. Simmer until sauce becomes sticky.
  9. Drizzle sauce over salmon.
